Nursing Diagnosis for Pain
Nursing Diagnosis:
Pain: headache related to an increase in cerebral vascular pressure.
Results Criteria:
Reported pain / discomfort bone / controlled, disclose a method which gives a reduction, following the pharmacological Regiment prescribed.
Nursing Interventions for Pain:
1. Maintain bed rest during the acute phase. (Minimize stimulation / increase relaxation).
2. Give non-pharmacological measures to relieve headaches, for example: cold compress on the forehead, neck and back massage and relaxation techniques. (Actions which reduce cerebral vascular pressure by inhibiting / blocking the sympathetic response, is effective in relieving headaches and complications).
3. Eliminate / minimize vasoconstriction activity that can increase headache: straining during a bowel movement, coughing length, and bending. (Activities that enhance the vasoconstriction caused headaches for increasing the pressure on the cerebral vascular).
4. Assist patients in ambulation as needed. (Minimize the use of oxygen and excessive activity that aggravate the condition of the client).
5. Give fluids, soft foods. Let the client rest for 1 hour after meals. (lower miocard work in connection with the work of digestion).
6. Collaboration with physicians in the delivery of analgesic drugs, anti anxiety, etc..
